The first episode of “All’s Fair” Season 2 sets off a chain of confrontations at a glamorous Scorpio Ball, ending with Allura collapsing after scorpions emerge from her purse. The series returned to Hulu on Wednesday with its first three new episodes, though the premiere alone leaves several questions hanging over the characters.
Allura, played by Kim Kardashian, is unsettled after spotting someone watching her through the glass walls of her new home. She hires additional security but remains focused on hosting a party inspired by Grace Kelly. Her composure finally breaks when a fight involving her friends erupts in the fountain, and the evening takes a more alarming turn when she begins to feel ill and collapses.
The argument traces back in part to Carr’s treatment of Liberty. Liberty introduces her date, Jamie, to Allura and Carr, explaining that she believes she is a “power lesbian.” While Allura is supportive, Carr responds with cruel insults. Emerald and Milan confront Carr at the party, and the dispute escalates into a physical fight in the fountain. Allura is furious that the guests have disrupted her event.
Dina, meanwhile, is cleared in connection with Lloyd’s murder after an alibi is found, though the killer remains unidentified. She visits Carr to say she forgives her, but Carr rejects the gesture and admits to planting Dina’s dementia medication and pressuring her maid to testify against her. Dina slaps Carr, then worries that the confrontation could bring trouble to the firm. A tarot reading also warns that one of Dina’s past actions may return to haunt her.
At the ball, Dina becomes distracted by Brody, a much younger waiter who takes her to a closet to slow dance. She questions whether his interest is genuine but kisses him anyway. The premiere leaves their relationship’s intentions uncertain.
Elsewhere, Emerald helps her sons’ romantic partners get ready for the party, revealing an impressive collection of wigs. In the episode’s divorce case, a model played by Robin Givens seeks half of her unfaithful magazine-mogul husband’s fortune, arguing that she never signed their prenuptial agreement. Liberty and Emerald know their client used a chemical compound to erase her signature, but still help her pursue the claim.
The episode closes without explaining who put the scorpions in Allura’s purse, leaving that question—and the identity of Lloyd’s killer—unresolved.
