Brenton Thwaites and Erin Moriarty have joined the cast of C.L.A.Y., a psychological cyber-thriller written, directed and produced by Simon Afram. They will star alongside Nicolas Cage, Michael Sheen, Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya, Adrian Topol and Agnez Mo.
The story follows a gifted but socially overlooked computer prodigy who finds a sense of purpose after joining C.L.A.Y. (Clowns Laughing At You), an underground hacker collective. The group’s digital provocations lead to real-world consequences, drawing the attention of intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates and rival hackers.
The film is Afram’s directorial debut. He previously wrote and produced the World War II espionage feature Fortitude, directed by Simon West. C.L.A.Y. is filming on location in London from November 2026.
Afram is producing with Georgette Turner, Edward Kahl, Reza Roohi and Adrian Topol. Bianca Goodloe, David Scaramanga, Cüneyt Kaya and Daniel Haido are executive producers.
