Daisy Ridley, Sosie Bacon and Simon Rex will star in Get Rid of It, a road-trip horror film set to begin shooting in early 2027. Ry Russo-Young is directing from a screenplay by Gemma Holdway.
Ridley plays Harper, who discovers she is pregnant after a one-night stand with a mysterious drifter, Miller, played by Rex. Upgrade, CAA Media Finance and Range Select are handling sales for the project at the American Film Market. The film is produced by David Lancaster, whose credits include Whiplash, Nightcrawler and Drive. Lancaster received a Best Picture Oscar nomination for Whiplash.
Russo-Young’s directing credits include Before I Fall, The Sun Is Also a Star and the Apple TV+ series Shrinking.
