Emraan Hashmi's musical horror film "Rooh" has expanded its production team with the addition of Tips Films and Tips Music. Kumar Taurani is joining the project as it prepares for a theatrical launch across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu markets in 2027. The film will be presented by Tips Films and produced by Vicked Films, with Mayank Sharma directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Vishal Kapoor.

The production slate includes Taurani, Girissh Kumar, Vikram Khakhar, and Sunny Khanna as producers, alongside Vikas Sahni serving as co-producer. The film's soundtrack is scheduled for release under the Tips Music label. "Rooh" blends horror elements with romance, integrating songs directly into the narrative structure. Hashmi, known for leading Hindi horror titles such as "Raaz: The Mystery Continues," "Raaz 3: The Third Dimension," and "Ek Thi Daayan," has a history of producing soundtracks that achieve significant popularity independent of their source films.

This collaboration marks a reunion between Hashmi and Taurani, whose partnership dates back to Tips producing Hashmi's debut film, "Footpath." Taurani noted the special significance of this association, expressing excitement to recreate past successes with Khanna and Khakhar while aiming to deliver a compelling theatrical experience. Hashmi described the collaboration as serendipitous, emphasizing that music is integral to audience connection in his films. He stated the goal for "Rooh" is to create a soundtrack that captures the film's romantic, haunting, and emotional core.

Vikram Khakhar of Vicked Films Productions characterized "Rooh" as a special project, calling the involvement of Tips Films and Tips Music a major milestone. Sunny Khanna expressed delight at Taurani and Kumar joining the team, citing their track record in film and music as ideal for a project where sound plays a central role. The partners collectively aim to bring an immersive horror experience to audiences in theaters by 2027.
