Funko has released a new Harry Potter POP! Mystery collection ahead of HBO’s upcoming television adaptation. The series features six characters from the original films: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Fred Weasley and George Weasley.
Each four-inch vinyl figure comes in a blind box, so buyers will not know which character they have until opening it. Every box also includes a matching POP! card. The figures cost $14.99 each, with each of the six standard characters having equal odds of appearing.
Collectors also have a one-in-72 chance of finding a Mystery Chase figure. An even rarer one-of-one Worldwide Chase may also be hidden in the collection.
The release is part of Funko’s POP! Mystery line, which has also included collections based on KPop Demon Hunters, One Piece and Warner Bros. horror franchises. Funko has introduced a buyback program for eligible one-of-one figures, offering $10,000 for verified rare finds.
The collectibles arrive ahead of HBO’s Harry Potter adaptation, scheduled to premiere on Dec. 25 on HBO and HBO Max. Its first season will adapt Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, with Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout playing Harry, Hermione and Ron, respectively. HBO is also developing a second season based on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
