Jaron Myers will release his new stand-up special, “Happier,” on Gorilla Comedy+ on Nov. 16. The special will then premiere on YouTube on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. CT.
Myers builds the hour around stories from his marriage and upbringing, along with episodes involving a suspected ghost in his home, a college dare and a mistaken attempt to stop a robbery. He also looks back on growing up in a sheltered, small-town Missouri community in the 1990s. The special closes on a message about choosing to look for joy.
Myers described the special as clean and high-energy, adding that he was excited to share an hour shaped by personal experiences and life choices. He has more than a million fans, and his videos have accumulated over 1 billion views across social media.
His previous work includes two stand-up specials on Prime Video and a Dry Bar Comedy special. Myers also co-hosts the educational comedy podcast “Things I Learned Last Night” and tours nationally. His breakout special, “The Blind Date,” featured him going on a real first date in front of a live audience; he later married his date.
