Kartik Aaryan will lead Ladaku, a film directed by Kabir Khan and described by its producers as an emotional, uplifting story. Birla Studios is overseeing production with Kabir Khan Entertainment attached, and the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 18, 2027.
Aaryan will also make his debut as a producer on the project through Dopamine Studios, which he launched earlier this year. Plot details have not yet been disclosed. Birla Studios, led by Ananya Birla, has described the film as a story about ambition, grit and hope, while the producers characterize it as a family entertainer in the spirit of Khan’s films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and 83.
Aaryan and Khan previously worked together on Chandu Champion, in which Aaryan played Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympics gold medalist. Aaryan won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in 2024 for his performance.
