Olga Kurylenko and Alex Pettyfer are set to star in Breakwater, a crime thriller directed by Luc Walpoth. WestEnd Films has boarded the project for worldwide sales and plans to introduce it to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market. Production is scheduled to begin in Malta in April 2027.

Kurylenko plays Iris, who is trapped in a toxic marriage, while Pettyfer plays her husband, Avery. The story also follows Daya, a bartender hoping to leave her hometown. After a chance encounter, Iris and Daya devise a plan to blackmail Avery aboard his luxury yacht. Their escape attempt takes a dangerous turn, leaving them stranded at sea and fighting to survive.

The film is produced by Kurt Wimmer, Jib Polhemus, Hannah Leader and Tad Daggerhart, who also wrote the script. James Ireland is an executive producer for Dark Dreams Entertainment. Malta Film Service will oversee local production, crew integration and rebate arrangements.

Breakwater reunites WestEnd with Polhemus after their work together on Scorpion, which also stars Pettyfer, and Zealot. Walpoth described the film as a Mediterranean neo-noir, while WestEnd managing director Maya Amsellem praised its cast and creative team.
