Variety has announced that Olivia Rodrigo, KATSEYE and Sienna Spiro will be honored at its 10th Annual Hitmakers Celebration in Los Angeles. Rodrigo will receive the Songwriter of the Year Award, KATSEYE will be named Group of the Year, and Spiro will receive the Visionary Voice Award.
The invitation-only celebration will culminate in a Los Angeles brunch on Saturday, December 5. The event and its accompanying issue recognize the songwriters, producers, publishers, managers and executives behind the 25 most-consumed songs of the year, based on Billboard and Luminate charts. TikTok will serve as the event’s Premier Partner.
Rodrigo is being recognized after a year that included the release of her third album, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” and the launch of the Daisy Chain Fields festival. According to Variety, the event raised $20 million for 10 nonprofit organizations supporting women and girls. Rodrigo is also performing on her sold-out Unraveled Tour, which began in September and is scheduled to continue through May 2027.
KATSEYE’s recognition follows the release of its third EP, “WILD,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The group also launched its first global arena tour after its Coachella debut. Its theatrical film, “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” reached audiences in more than 60 countries and is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
Spiro’s honor comes after the success of her debut album, “Visitor,” released through Capitol Records. The album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, while three of her singles appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously earlier this year. Spiro also won Best New Artist at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
“The 2026 Hitmakers honorees have shaped the sound and business of music in countless ways,” Variety Executive Editor, Music Jem Aswad said. “Their creativity, vision, and relentless drive are creating the soundtracks for so many lives. We look forward to honoring them all in December!”
Variety said additional honorees and event details will be announced in the weeks leading up to the celebration.
