Nine months after the disappearance of her mother, Savannah Guthrie has reiterated her desperate need for closure, declaring that her family cannot move forward until they know what happened to Nancy Guthrie. On Sunday, the Today co-anchor addressed her followers, emphasizing that the FBI reward for information leading to her location is still active.
Guthrie shared an emotional message accompanied by a drawing created by her daughter. The artwork depicts an umbrella and raindrops with the handwritten note, "I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy." In her caption, Guthrie explained that while the world continues to appear normal as they strive to be strong for their young children, the reality of the situation remains unchanged.
Addressing her siblings Annie and Tommy, Cam and Kristine, Mike, and all of Nancy's grandchildren, Guthrie expressed their collective pain. She stated that they ache for their mother and cry out for answers, describing Nancy as a light in the world who deserves dignity and celebration. The family is begging anyone with knowledge to come forward to help them.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1 from her home in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, by the Pima County Sheriff's Department. In an effort to generate new leads, the department released two previously received ransom notes in June. Currently, a $100,000 reward is being offered by the FBI, supplemented by a $1 million reward from the family for information regarding Nancy's whereabouts. Guthrie concluded her message by thanking those who have shown kindness and humanity, asking everyone to join them in prayer.
