Skydance is expanding Pluto TV with a substantial volume of Warner Bros. Discovery programming, launching a large number of Warner Bros.-powered linear channels and a significantly larger on-demand slate from the WBD catalog. The additions are available at no cost to viewers and mark one of the more visible early integrations since Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery were combined under the Skydance banner, according to Cord Cutters News.
Pluto TV previously carried selected Warner Bros. Discovery titles and channels through traditional licensing arrangements between the two separate companies. With the businesses now under common ownership, those relationships have moved to internal distribution, which the report says enables a broader and more immediate flow of programming onto the free, ad-supported service. The new linear channels draw from the combined library of films, series and thematic programming, giving viewers continuous access to familiar titles alongside other free content on the platform.
Alongside the Warner Bros. Discovery expansion, Pluto TV has added several Christmas and holiday-themed channels to its seasonal lineup. They include a 24/7 Pluto TV Christmas channel for classic Christmas movies, a 24/7 Lifetime Holiday Movie Favorites channel, a Vevo Holiday Music channel, a BET Holiday Movies channel, the Hallmark Movies & More Holiday Favorites channel and additional seasonal feeds focused on holiday programming. The additions supplement existing seasonal offerings and expand the service’s always-on holiday options.
A large number of on-demand movies have also been added to Pluto TV’s free library, including titles from Hallmark and other partners, increasing the volume of holiday and general entertainment options. Viewers can find the new linear channels through the live guide on the Pluto TV app, website and supported devices, while the expanded on-demand selection appears in the Movies and Shows sections.
The changes arrive as free ad-supported streaming continues to serve as a major access point for older library content and seasonal programming. By placing additional Warner Bros. Discovery titles and channels on Pluto TV, the combined company is extending the reach of its catalog beyond subscription services to audiences who prefer no-cost, advertising-supported options. The broader library from the Warner Bros. studio, Discovery networks and related brands now sits alongside Paramount’s existing free offerings under the same corporate structure. For users, the practical result is a larger selection of live channels and on-demand movies available without a subscription, with the new Warner Bros. Discovery channels and expanded holiday lineup providing long-running favorites and seasonal options in one place. The updates reflect an ongoing effort to surface more of the combined catalog on the free tier while maintaining Pluto TV’s position as an ad-supported entry point within the larger Skydance streaming portfolio.
