Tami Roman will return as identical twins Drea and Ali in Double Double Trouble 2, a sequel to Lifetime’s Double Double Trouble. Roman will also executive produce the film, with Roger Cross co-starring in a new role as Randy, the twins’ long-lost brother. The movie is slated to premiere in 2027.

The story picks up after Drea assumes Ali’s identity. She appears to have gained the life she wanted, including a cooking show and a fiancé, until a hospital call reveals that Ali is still alive. Drea must keep posing as her sister while their aunt grows suspicious and Ali’s fiancé, Ryan, notices that his bride does not remember her own life.

Randy further complicates the deception by taking on Ryan’s identity. When Ali’s memory returns, the sisters face each other again, with their long-standing resentment at the center of a dangerous confrontation.

The original film followed Drea as she tried to rebuild her life after a miscarriage and the collapse of her marriage, while Ali began a relationship with Ryan. Lifetime described it as the network’s highest-rated original movie of 2026. It drew 625,000 adults aged 25 and older in Live+Same Day viewing, 54% above the average for the network’s FY26 original-movie premieres. Among women aged 25–64, it attracted 235,000 viewers, 90% above the average, according to Nielsen.

Double Double Trouble 2 is produced by Novus Pictures in association with Studio TF1 America. James Bamford is directing from a script by Sa’Rah L. Jones. Timothy O. Johnson, Meghan Hooper White, Abbey Sibucao-MacDonald, Jill Ramsey and Roman are executive producers.
