The Remarried Empress will begin streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on Tuesday, November 3, one day earlier than its previously announced premiere date. The first release will include four episodes. The early launch was revealed at a press conference in Seoul and described as a thank-you to fans for their support.

Starring Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk and Lee Seyoung, the series is based on a Naver Webtoon that has accumulated close to three billion views. It follows Empress Navier and Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire. Their marriage begins to fracture after Sovieshu falls for a runaway slave and seeks to win her heart. Navier agrees to his request on the condition that she can marry Heinrey, Crown Prince of the rival Western Kingdom.

The drama was adapted for the screen by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol, and directed by Cho Suwon. After the four-episode premiere, two new episodes are scheduled to arrive each Wednesday from November 11 through the finale on November 25, exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu.

The series’ trailer received more than 13 million views across YouTube and social media platforms in its first 48 hours. Preview screenings at the Busan International Film Festival also sold out.
