Zendaya’s Spider-Man-inspired outfit from a Paris photocall for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has helped put a vintage graphic T-shirt in the spotlight. Fans can now shop an officially licensed version on Amazon for under $20.
Zendaya wore the oversized black shirt, printed with a red Spider-Man silhouette, at the film’s Paris photocall in June. Styled as a minidress with white Christian Louboutin pumps, diamond earrings and a Rolex watch, the look circulated widely online after stylist Law Roach said he found the original on eBay for $34.99. The pre-owned shirt was a size 2XL.
The original was a 2007 vintage design by Mad Engine. Amazon’s Merch on Demand program now offers a near-identical version called the “Marvel Spider-Man Vintage Paris Premiere Fan Event T-Shirt,” with Spider-Man crouched against a dark background.
The shirt is among the more affordable merchandise linked to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which was released in theaters on July 31. Other products associated with the film include Adidas apparel, Citizen watches, Funko collectibles and Hasbro toys.
Zendaya and Roach also drew on the superhero’s visual world for other looks during the film’s press tour, including a red-and-blue Swarovski-encrusted 1997 Versace ensemble and a vintage Giorgio Armani gown decorated with spiderwebs for the Rome premiere.
