Mckenna Grace says she currently avoids nude scenes and highly sexualized material in her acting roles, describing the prospect as “terrifying” to her in an interview with Cosmopolitan. She added that she respects performers who choose to do those scenes, though she does not know whether her own position will change in the future.
Grace noted that avoiding nudity does not mean she only takes wholesome roles. In Scream, her character is killed by Ghostface. She also said one of her ambitions is to play a Disney princess.
Grace plays Maysilee Donner in The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping. Set 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, the prequel follows a 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada, as he enters the arena and forms an alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee.
The film is directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie, based on Suzanne Collins’s 2025 novel of the same name. It is scheduled to open in theaters on November 20.
