Paris Creator Week is doubling in size this year, with 8,000 industry professionals expected at the gathering in Halle de la Villette. The event brings together creators, platforms, brands, agencies, investors and traditional media companies to discuss the business of content creation.
A study being presented at the event estimates that the global creator economy will reach $217.3 billion in 2026, a 26.2% increase from the previous year. After nearly tripling in size over five years, the market is projected to reach $1.22 trillion by 2033.
The report puts France’s creator economy at $10.1 billion this year, up 23.7% from 2025, with potential to exceed $24.3 billion by 2030. It ranks France seventh worldwide and third in Europe, behind the U.K. and Germany, and estimates that the sector already represents 227,000 full-time equivalent jobs in the country.
Paris Creator Week has grown from 4,000 participants last year to an expected 8,000 this year. Its exhibition area has expanded fivefold, from 200 to 1,000 square meters, and international attendees are expected to make up 30% of the total. YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, Spotify and SoundCloud are among the platforms sending senior executives, while entertainment groups including Banijay and Mediawan are also taking part.
Co-founder Marc Lesage-Moretti says the event is designed as a business-to-business gathering rather than a consumer convention, with a focus on partnerships and new business models. He has described its ambition as creating a “VivaTech of the creator economy,” referring to the Paris technology conference.
The study identifies sponsorships and commercial partnerships as the largest segment of the global creator economy, at 49.8%, followed by advertising on creator content at 22.7% and paid subscriptions at 13.8%. Advertisers are expected to contribute $172.8 billion in 2026, or 79.5% of total spending. The report estimates creators will receive $92.6 billion, equivalent to 42.6% of the market.
The event will also examine mergers and acquisitions. The study recorded 70 global acquisitions in the first half of 2026, a 23% rise from the same period a year earlier. North America accounted for 64.3% of acquisition targets and Europe for 27.1%. A conference track will consider how investors value creator-led companies and address the risk of businesses depending heavily on one personality.
Paris Creator Week’s programme also reflects growing links between online creators and established media. Lesage-Moretti points to French YouTuber Inoxtag’s documentary “Kaizen,” which was released in cinemas by MK2 and sold around 300,000 tickets in one day, while launching on YouTube the same day and generating 40 million or 50 million views overall.
Drew Baldwin, head of Prentiss Media and founder of Tubefilter and the Streamy Awards, is using the event to launch Creator Kitchen, an initiative intended to bring traditional and new media executives together. Paris Creator Week is also hosting senior figures from platforms, production companies and media businesses as it positions itself as a meeting place for the growing creator industry.
