Pierce Brosnan has praised Callum Turner as speculation continues over who will play James Bond next. The former 007 actor said he has worked with Turner and described him as “so strong” in an interview with Vanity Fair.
Brosnan said the actors being discussed have “a voice and a physique, and a presence on film,” and praised their potential longevity. He added that he is eager to find out who will take on the role, wishing whoever is chosen “the very best of life and strength and courage.”
Asked about Denis Villeneuve’s vision for the next Bond film, Brosnan said he expects audiences to be “blown away.” He praised the director’s work and said he looks forward to seeing what he does with the story.
Josh O’Connor, whose name has also been linked to the role, addressed the casting talk in an interview with British GQ. He called the speculation flattering and said being considered alongside Bond candidates was an extraordinary moment, but added that he did not want to contribute to the noise and had nothing further to say.
