Skydance is reshaping its leadership following the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, with some roles eliminated and others reassigned, according to a memo sent to staff and reported by Reuters.
Sarah Bergman, Warner Bros. Discovery’s executive vice president of networks and streaming distribution, and Mickey Carter, Paramount’s executive vice president of US distribution, will lead the combined company’s distribution business.
The memo also said eight executives will leave: Rivka Golomb, Kelly Kane, Jeff Cross and Rich Palermo from Warner Bros. Discovery, and David Comisar, Kurt Davis, Deena Demasi and Ken Kay from Paramount.
Seven executives are taking on new responsibilities, according to Variety. Brad Shipley, executive vice president of business development and strategy, will oversee strategy, partnerships, Pluto TV, FAST distribution and Skydance Global Sports Group. CFO Patrick Cavanaugh will handle streaming negotiations, while Rick Baker, executive vice president and deputy general counsel, will lead business and legal matters for linear and streaming.
Joe Bahr, senior vice president of partner operations, will oversee partner operations issues. Senior vice president Andrew Borak will lead marketing. Bob Aguanno, senior vice president of CBS affiliate relations, will work with the CBS Network affiliate board on relationships with affiliate TV stations, while senior vice president John Bagwell will lead contract negotiations with affiliates as general counsel.
The leadership changes follow reports last month that Skydance offered buyouts to some employees.
