The Tony Awards will continue airing on CBS through 2032 under a new five-year agreement announced Wednesday by the network, the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. The show has been broadcast on CBS since 1978, making the partnership the longest-running between a major awards show and a network, according to the announcement.

The agreement also sets the 80th annual Tony Awards for June 13, 2027. The ceremony will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) on CBS and Paramount+’s premium tier.

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said the network was pleased to extend its partnership with the two organizations and continue bringing Broadway performances and talent to television audiences.

The Tonys are produced by Tony Awards Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall and Jack Sussman are set to produce the 2027 ceremony. Kapoor and Levine Hall will serve as co-showrunners, with Patrick Menton and Rob Paine as co-executive producers; Menton will also lead talent.
