AMC Theatres reported record revenue of $1.71 billion for the three months ended September 30, up 31.6% from $1.3 billion in the same period a year earlier. The results surpassed the previous quarterly high, set in the second quarter of 2026, and came amid strong performance from films including “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “The Odyssey.”
The cinema chain also returned to profit, reporting net income of $109.3 million, compared with a net loss of $298.2 million in the third quarter of 2025. Earnings per share were 12 cents, against a loss of 58 cents a year earlier.
Ticket revenue climbed 33% year over year to $954.5 million. Food and beverage revenue increased 30%, from $451.8 million to $589.5 million.
AMC CEO Adam Aron said the quarter benefited from the growing popularity of premium large-format screenings, the A-List subscription service and a stronger box office. He said the company had recovered and was focused on growth.
Aron also said AMC expects the remaining film slate to help push domestic and global box office revenue to their highest full-year levels in seven years.
